KESKO CORPORATION PRESS RELEASE 02.03.2010 AT 09.00 1(1)
According to the recent national readership survey (KMT), the K-Group's Pirkka customer magazine, has further increased its readership by 40,000 to 2,840,000 readers. This means that K-Group's customer magazine continues to be by far the most widely read magazine in Finland. The survey was published on Tuesday, 2 March 2010.
"It is a major achievement that despite the large readership the Pirkka magazine still manages to win tens of thousands of new readers. The magazine is one of the many benefits offered to our customers," says Niina Ryynänen, Managing Director of K-Plus Oy.
The Pirkka magazine provides customers with useful information and practical tips. The magazine's column 'Responsible Choices', for example, discusses everyday actions and gives readers tips and hints encouraging responsible consumption.
"In addition to the Pirkka magazine, the year 2009 was time of growth for the whole K-Plussa customer loyalty programme: 190,596 new loyal customers joined the programme and the total number of households reached the landmark of two million. Total benefits offered to K-Plussa customers also improved considerably," says Niina Ryynänen.
The cornerstone of the K-Plussa customer loyalty programme consists of the special benefits and services offered by local K-retailers and K-Group chains to their good customers. Every month, K-Plussa customers also get hundreds of special benefits that are always at least 10% of the normal price, and the benefit received in the form of K-Plussa points is up to 5%. The K-Plussa network provides customers with benefits from more than 3,500 outlets and over 40 cooperation partners.
