CHINA LIFE INSURANCE COMPANY LIMITED (A joint stock limited company incorporated in the People’s Republic of China with limited liability) ANNOUNCEMENT IN RELATION TO EXTENDED OPERATION HOURS OF RECEIVING BANK BRANCHES To cater for the potential higher than expected public demand under the Hong Kong Public Offering, the time period on Thursday, December 11, 2003 for collection of the Prospectus together with the WHITE Application Forms, and for deposit of completed WHITE and YELLOW Application Forms, is extended. Such collection and deposit will start at 7:00 a.m. and will expire at 12:00 noon on Thursday, December 11, 2003 at any of the branches of The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited, Bank of China (Hong Kong) Limited and The Bank of East Asia, Limited set out in this announcement. Reference is made to the announcement dated December 8, 2003 (the “Announcement”) issued by the Company. To cater for the potential higher than expected public demand under the Hong Kong Public Offering, the time period on Thursday, December 11, 2003 for collection of the Prospectus together with the WHITE Application Forms, and for deposit of completed WHITE and YELLOW Application Forms, is extended for two hours at any of the branches of The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited, Bank of China (Hong Kong) Limited and The Bank of East Asia, Limited set out in this announcement. The time period for the other places from which copies of the Prospectus together with the WHITE Application Forms can be collected, as set out in the Announcement, remains the same. The original time period on Thursday December 11, 2003 set out in the Prospectus, the Application Forms and the Announcement in respect of the collection of the Prospectus together with the WHITE Application Forms, and the deposit of completed WHITE and YELLOW Application Forms at the relevant branches of The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited, Bank of China (Hong Kong) Limited and The Bank of East Asia, Limited, being from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, is now changed to the period from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon on Thursday December 11, 2003.
