With the opening of the Himberg site, PALFINGER is even closer to its customers. Around 5,000 service centers worldwide guarantee outstanding service for PALFINGER products. Regular maintenance, in turn, ensures an extended product lifetime and maximum safety during operation. At the opening event on June 6 in Himberg, visitors were able to experience the PALFINGER access platforms up close.

With the new Himberg site, PALFINGER is further expanding the availability of services . Since December 2023, access platforms and tail lifts have been inspected, maintained and repaired in Himberg near Vienna. The new subsidiary has now been officially opened. Around 100 customers and partners participated and were able to try out seven different models of access platforms for themselves.

PALFINGER currently sees high growth potential, especially in the access platform segment. “Ongoing digitalization, electrification and the use of high-performance materials open up attractive long-term market opportunities for us with access platforms. In addition to the loader crane, our main product, we will continue to consistently develop this product line,” says Gerhard Sturm, SVP Global Sales & Service at PALFINGER. “With the Himberg location, we are taking a significant step closer to providing an optimal service offering. In cooperation with the sales department, we are now in the best possible position to serve the Austrian market.”
 

SERVICE AT THE HIGHEST LEVEL

At the end of 2023, the subsidiary moved from Münchendorf to Himberg. The new site has around 700 m² of workshop space and a 1,000 m² testing area, offering even more space and thus ideal conditions for repair and maintenance work at the highest level. There are already plans to expand the team at the site. PALFINGER offers a wide range of services in Himberg, including the inspection, maintenance and servicing of access platforms and tail lifts. In addition, it is possible to customize new devices, recondition used equipment and retrofit accessories at the Himberg site. The comprehensive range of services offered at the Himberg site, including a mobile service, reduce potential downtimes. A comprehensive spare parts service and an optional pick-up and delivery service also play an essential role. “The dense service network is one of PALFINGER's absolute strengths,” states Norbert Karrer, VP Sales & Service EMEA Distribution, and continues: “With the Himberg site, we are moving even closer to our customers in the greater Vienna area. This is also demonstrated by this event, because an opening like today offers the opportunity for a personal exchange with our partners and customers who experience our products in use every day.”
