Abu Dhabi, UAE: 7 November 2017: Agthia Group (‘Agthia’ or ‘the Group’), a leading food and beverage group in the UAE, has opened their second food distribution center as part of their government partnership programme with a ribbon cutting ceremony attended by His Excellency Khalifa Al Ali, Director General of Food Security Center-Abu Dhabi.

The new distribution center is located at the Agthia Bakeries in Al Wathba, and replaces the original store that was located in Port Zayed, Abu Dhabi. These stores allow members of a wide range of government organisations to purchase various products at discounted prices. The Ministry of Interior (Fazaa), Dubai Economic Department, Homat Al Watan, Sheikh Khalifa Foundation and many others, are participating in the programme.

Agthia opened their first store in Um Al Ramool in Dubai in August this year, and plans to expand further into Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah in the coming months.
