MESSAGE FROM THE CHAIRMAN


The year 2018 marked the 40th anniversary of China’s opening up and reform and also the 30th birthday of Haitong Securities! Haitong Securities has been growing and developing with China’s magnificent reform. Its growth and development are also inseparable from the hard work of all our colleagues! In the past year, under the deployment of the CPC Committee of Haitong Securities, all Haitong people remained true to their original aspiration, bore in mind their missions, kept composed and made progress steadily. We celebrated the 30th anniversary of Haitong Securities, built our brand and unified our people, and all Haitong people were highly encouraged and had their sense of honor, responsibility and mission improved. We effectively promoted the synergies of different business lines and deepened the significance of our businesses. We decisively integrated overseas branches to improve our international business structure. We earnestly prevented various risks and strictly stuck to the bottom line of our operation. We vigorously optimized our management and control system to improve the operational efficiency. We made progress gradually in infrastructure construction and created “Smart Haitong”. We steadily advanced the establishment of privately owned enterprise bailout funds and took the social responsibility. We also followed the national strategy and actively prepared for the science and technology innovation board and the registration-based share offering system.

The year 2019 marks the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China and is also an important year for China to advance reform and opening up with a higher starting point, a higher level and a higher goal. When the wave rises, one can see a beautiful scenery if rowing the oar again. In 2019, Haitong Securities will face more challenges and difficulties. We will be more confident in the future, properly handle the relationship between change and constancy as well as the relationship between challenges and opportunities, enhance vitality and momentum, advocate devotion and professionalism, improve the ability and per capita capacity of service and management and keep improving our corporate culture. We will, with great enthusiasm and high spirit, have a good understanding of the situation and trend, break the bottleneck, seek the way out and set out for a new era of deepening reform and transformation based on our 30 years of development!
